Frequently asked questions

The app identified my fish wrong. What should I do?

AI identification can be wrong — that's why every result shows a confidence level, and a low-confidence ID shows you the likely alternatives to choose from instead of guessing. You can correct an ID from the result screen, which also helps the system improve.

Never rely solely on the app to decide whether a fish is legal to keep or safe to eat. Confirm the species and check your state's official regulations (linked in the app) before keeping a fish.

How many free fish IDs do I get?

The free tier includes 10 photo identifications per calendar month, plus 25 catch journal entries and 10 saved recipes. Premium removes all of those limits. Your monthly ID count resets on the first of each month.

How do I manage or cancel my Premium subscription?

Manage your subscription wherever you purchased it: through your app store account's subscription settings, or through the billing portal linked in the app for direct purchases. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the current period.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, profile, catches, posts, and photos from our systems. See the Privacy Policy for details on retention.

How do I report a post, photo, or user?

Every piece of community content has a ⋯ menu with Report and Block. Reports are reviewed and acted on, typically within 24 hours. The rules we enforce are in the Community Guidelines.

Does the app work offline?

Catch logging works offline — entries queue on your device and sync automatically when you're back in signal. Fish identification and recipe generation need a connection, since the AI runs on our servers.
